Governing & Regulatory Boards
- Select Board: China’s five-member elected governing body.
- Planning Board: Subdivisions, conditional uses, and land-use applications.
- Appeals Board: Variance and appeal requests under the Land Development Code.
- Budget Committee: Reviews the proposed budget and makes recommendations to voters.
Town Programs & Advisory Committees
- Cemetery Committee: Cemeteries, lot sales, and monument placement.
- Emergency Preparedness Committee: Town emergency preparedness planning.
- China for a Lifetime Committee: Helping residents remain in the community as they age.
- Thurston Park Committee: Thurston Park oversight.
- Tax Increment Financing Committee: TIF program, lake-access projects, and revolving loan fund.
- Transfer Station Committee: Transfer station oversight with Palermo representation.
- Emergency Services Assessment Committee: Evaluating town fire and ambulance services.
- China Recreation Committee: Recreation programs and budget oversight.
