Tax Maps, Cards and Bills

Look Up Your Property Tax Card

The Town of China no longer emails tax cards or property tax information. You can look up and print your own tax card, property maps, and aerial photos using AxisGIS, a free online tool. Aerial photos require switching the basemap to “imagery hybrid” using the icon in the top right corner of the map. You can also use AxisGIS to generate an abutters list or look up property ownership.

When searching by map and lot number, use the format XX-XXX, for example 27-005.

Look Up a Deed

Deeds are available free of charge from the Kennebec Registry of Deeds. A free account is required. The town does not email deeds.

Town Governance

China is run by a Town Manager along with several elected and appointed committees and boards, including the Select Board. Elected officials are required to complete Freedom of Access Act (FOAA) training.

If you would like to volunteer for a committee or board, return a completed volunteer application to the Town Clerk.
