Because China covers a large geographic area, the town is served by three volunteer fire departments:

China Rescue Squad
China Rescue Squad has operated since 1982 and responds to more than 300 calls a year. The squad is on call 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Ben Loubier serves as Chief.
